Description:
Product Name: L-Arginine
Molecular Formula: C6H14N4O2
Molecular Weight: 174.20
CAS No: 74-79-3
L-arginine is one of the 20 amino acids that build up protein. L-arginine is one of the non-essential amino acids, meaning it can be synthesised in the body.
L-arginine is a precursor of nitric oxide and other metabolites. It is an important component of collagen, enzymes and hormones, skin and connective tissues. L-arginine plays important roles in the synthesis of various protein molecules; creatine and being the most easily recognised. It may have antioxidant property and reduces accumulation of compounds such as ammonia and plasma lactate, by-products of physical exercise. It also inhibits platelet aggregation and has also been known to decrease blood pressure.
When consumed, L-arginine is converted to nitric oxide which aids in the relaxation of blood vessels. The effect is better blood circulation in the body and especially in the extremities; specifically the genitalia. For this reason L-arginine helps in stimulating and maintaining erection. Men with erectile dysfunction benefit especially from the intake of L-arginine rich foods or l-arginine supplement.

Function:
L-arginine is an amino acid that has numerous functions in the body.
Blood Vessel Function:
In the body, L-arginine is used to make nitric oxide, which reduces blood vessel stiffness, increases blood flow, and improves blood vessel function
Erectile Dysfunction:
L-arginine has been used for erectile dysfunction. Like the drug citrate (Viagra), L-arginine is thought to enhance the action of nitric oxide, which relaxes muscles surrounding blood vessels supplying the penis. As a result, blood vessels in the penis dilate, increasing blood flow, which helps maintain an erection.
Wound Healing:
L-arginine's possible activity in wound repair may be due to its role in the formation of L-proline, an important amino acid that is essential for the synthesis of collagen.
Other Conditions:
L-arginine is also used for high blood pressure, migraines, sexual dysfunction in women, intermittent claudication, and interstitial cystitis.
Application:
Arginine is an ideal supplement for those who want to lose a substantial amount of weight in a safe and effective manner. It can boost the metabolism and burn fat even if one is not exercising. This aspect should be tackled to apprehend arginine nitratebenefits and side effects. The said supplement works by prompting the body to release nitric oxide. It can help our body maintain balance with regards to the level of nitrogen and therefore allow protein synthesis that will aid in muscle development.
In the long run, it can encourage improved blood flow as it allows the muscles to receive more nutrients and therefore train longer. This is the reason why athletes, body builders, “gym rats,” and “weekend warriors,” regularly take arginine supplementation. It is sad to say though that a number of them do not familiarize themselves with arginine nitrate benefits and side effects leading them to abuse or underuse of the said supplement.
Arginine nitrate is a great supplement that can help those who want to improve their weight and well being. But to achieve them, one should do research as well as ask their doctors about arginine nitrate benefits and side effects, so that they can achieve their objectives and shun any unwanted conditions. |
